Hello! I am Dr. Lopez, your new dentist here in Salinas.

 

I have been a dentist for over 20 years. I started my career in Peru, where I was born, raised and received my initial dental education. 

 

In 2011 I got licensed to practice dentistry in California. Since then I have been working in a number of different settings all the while striving to stay true to my goals and ethics as a dentist:

• truly listening to and addressing my patients’ concerns,

• providing honest advice and guidance throughout their treatment,

• working along my patients’ immediate means and possibilities, and

• doing my very best to accomplish the best results for my patients -

• in short, treating my patients the way I would want to be treated if I were the patient.

I have always enjoyed the combination of artistry and science that comes with being a dentist. But, what I love most about dentistry is that it allows me to be part of the transformation of people’s lives, relieve their pain, increase their self-confidence and help them to have the smile they love.

I have worked many jobs in my life, from dishwasher over waiter, construction work to running my own tourism-related hospitality business and dentistry. I have also always been actively involved in different social projects (for example volunteer dentist at free CDA clinics all over California, hospital clowning and grassroots community activism promoting public health in Peru). All of this has allowed me to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds, places, ages, and walks of life which in turn has taught me to relate to and emphasize with all kinds of people.
